What details should be paid attention to when making enameled wire?
2022-07-20
Although the quality of enameled wire largely depends on the quality of raw materials such as enamel and conductors, as well as the objective conditions of machinery and equipment, if operators do not take issues like baking, annealing, and winding speed seriously, fail to understand the interrelationships among these factors, lack mastery of operational techniques, neglect thorough routine inspections and proper post-stop cleanup, and fail to maintain good process hygiene, even under the best possible objective conditions, they still won't be able to produce high-quality enameled wire. Therefore, the key factor in ensuring high-quality enameled wire production is people—their sense of responsibility toward their work.
1. Before starting the catalytic combustion hot-air circulation varnish-coating machine, first turn on the fan to circulate the air inside the furnace at a slow speed. Use electric heating to preheat both the furnace chamber and the catalytic zone, bringing the temperature in the catalytic zone up to the ignition temperature specified for the catalyst.
2. “Three Diligences” and “Three Checks” in Production Operations.
Measure the paint film thickness once per hour. Before each measurement, calibrate the micrometer to zero. When measuring the lines, keep the micrometer moving at the same speed as the lines. For large lines, perform measurements in two mutually perpendicular directions.
Regularly inspect the cable routing at the school, paying close attention to the back-and-forth cable movement and the tension levels, and make timely corrections. Also, check whether the lubricant is applied appropriately.
Frequently inspect the surface to check for any defects such as granules or paint peeling during the varnish-coating process; identify the root causes and make immediate corrections. Promptly remove any defective products from the production line.
Check the operation to ensure that all moving parts are functioning properly. Pay special attention to the tension of the pay-off reel to prevent wire jams, wire breaks, and excessive thinning of the wire diameter.
Check the temperature, speed, and viscosity according to the process requirements.
During the raw material production process, continue to pay attention to whether the raw materials meet the technical requirements.
3. In the operation of enameled wire production, attention should also be paid to the risks of explosions and fires. There are several types of fire hazards as follows:
First, a full-scale fire in the furnace chamber is often caused by either an excessively high vapor density throughout the furnace’s cross-section or by excessively high furnace temperatures. Second, it can occur when too much paint is applied to several wires during threading, leading to ignition of those wires. To prevent such fires, we must first strictly control the process furnace temperature and, second, ensure smooth ventilation within the furnace chamber.
4. Tidying up after parking
The post-parking cleanup mainly involves removing old adhesive from the furnace mouth, cleaning the paint tank and guide rollers, and ensuring the proper sanitation of the varnish-coating machine and its surrounding area. To keep the paint tank clean, if the machine is not immediately restarted, the tank should be covered with paper to prevent contamination from entering.
